inspired by Avalanche!

wow, these guys and gals are good..

Disney/Avalanche artists blog

They hail from my motherland of Utah. A lot of really talented peeps down there.

Anyways, I got inspired to do something of my own after looking through their stuff. I found a great reference profile, and started at it. You can tell I got bored and just wanted to finish it after I slopped the face down. I had a lot of fun working on it...Anyways, here it is.

Cirque Du Soleil Varekai Seattle!

Thursday May 4th my wife and I got to go and see the Cirque Du Soleil show that is currently showing over in Redmond at Marymoor park. First off it was one of the most amazing shows I think Ive ever seen. The set, costumes, choreography, everything about the show was just so amazing. All the acts were so spot on with what they do in there. It really made me want to run away with the circus afterwards too. They really have to enjoy what they get to do day in and day out. The standing ovation they recieved was so moving they came out 3 times I think it was.

I have to thank my wonderful cousin Bridget who works for Cirque Du Soleil who comped us into the show. We had just amazing seats in section 102 row D which was pretty much 4 or 5 rows off the front row. Down below you can pretty much get a view of where we were at. Though we were closer to the middle, right on the aisle.

I hope to catch more of the Cirque shows as they come through Seattle or on up to Vancouver BC if I need to, that show definitely made me a fan for life. If you are in the Seattle area and can afford to go to the show I would definitely suggest picking up tickets. It is so worth every penny. Though I do have to say King county charges $10 to park which is a ripoff just to park at the park, they are totally pulling one over on the people. But they can do it I guess....You need a place to park. Though Id suggest parking in the bizness's close to the park and walk over. We paid the parking since we were comped into the show already...

We had a chance to go into the Tapis Rouge after the show where the cast and crew unwind after the show, but we didnt go in cause we went to pick our kids up instead. Hopefully we get that chance to maybe do that again someday. Next time Ill be staying after for that no matter what...haha

The red section ($185 a seat -- Ouch) there on the right is where we were at, in row D, which you cant see, but it's 4 or 5 up from the front.

Pretty much the view we had from the seats. It was awesome!

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Dead Man's Chest PSP

images courtesy of IGN...

Hey folks, check it out, the game that Ive been working on for the past year and couple months, is finally getting some press. I cant wait to see what people think of the game. We had a lot of fun making it. IGN interviewed our producer Matt Turnbull, who's a great producer. Check it out..it's a pretty good read. All of Jack Sparrow's gameplay moves were done by your's truly. You can actually see a game trailer on ign's site as well. Shows a lil bit of what to look forward to.

tata

yesterdays figure drawings and a hello!

hey friends, long time no blog. Long time no pick up the pencil either... :( Been super busy trying to get this Pirates thing all done up and ready to go. Also the freelance has been going all last Feb as well. Been busy as of late. Work, family, and freelance makes for a very busy life.

Anyways, here are some figure drawings from yesterday's session that I attended. It was nice to pick up the pencil again. I need to do it more often. I can see some glimmer of hope in my drawings but still see a TON of flaws. But that's why I share them here, if you have any comments on what could get my work to that next level please feel free. Im a professional and can take constructive criticism with the best of them.

Hope to get the blog thing going again. We'll see how the freelance goes. :)

A big WERD! to my pals who support me and to new readers thanks for stoppin on in. On to the drawings
